Hands on and Immersive Learning Opportunities

One of the distinctive aspects of Ball State and our department is that we take a hands-on approach to learning.

Research is very important at the undergraduate and graduate levels. About 80 percent of our students do research with us, and you can begin research as early as your freshman year. You can even take advantage of a special summer program that's a model for other universities.

Poster sessions are just one of the research opportunities you’ll have to prepare you for life after Ball State. The sessions allow you to learn the skills and protocol necessary to present to members of the American Chemical Society (ACS).

The idea is that one day, you will be presenting at an ACS meeting, and we need to get you prepared as soon as possible.
