When it comes to giving you hands-on laboratory research early and often, we are doing just that.
Thanks to programs such as the Chemistry Research Immersion Summer Program (CRISP)
, about 95 percent of our graduates are working in a field directly related to their majors.
The 10-week program is one of the largest undergraduate research programs in chemistry in the nation and will give you a chance to work with one of our faculty members during the summer. About 80 percent of our majors work with faculty mentors.
Freshman can even take advantage of this opportunity, which will give you a head start on nearly three and half years of research opportunities.
Students who have taken advantage of our research opportunities say it was the faculty
, the high-tech equipment
, and the independence they received that made their experience great.
