The CICS Human Factors Institute has built a prototype “community megablog” as part of our research into Distributed Collaborative Community (DCC). Our hypothesis is to test different information and communication technologies (ICT) that help communities work together, even if separated in time and space.

The weblog project started in 2004 and has Ball State University’s largest blog project and community. With more than 50 participating bloggers every year, it is also one of the largest and longest running blogging project of any computer-information systems programs in the United States. The site is a catalyst for Center for Information and Communication Sciences community creativity, communication skills development, and professional fellowship.
