Women Working in Technology Initiative

Women Working in Technology Logo

Women Working in Technology (WWiT) is an initiative of the Center for Information and Communication Sciences (CICS) and receives support from the College of Communication, Information, and Media. Formed in 2008, WWiT promotes and supports technology careers for individuals in high school and beyond.

Annual Conference

One of our most popular events with this initiative is our annual conference for professionals, graduate students and select undergraduates.

Free Conference Attendance to Students

Since 2008, CICS has recruited support and sponsorship for its WWiT initiative from generous organizations including:

  • Lumina Foundation
  • Interactive Intelligence
  • Best Buy
  • Cisco
  • Six Feet Up
  • charitable alumni

These sponsors have made it possible for students to attend the conference at no cost and allow professionals to attend at a reasonable cost.

If you are interested in getting involved as a professional, student or mentor, contact Kirsten Smith.
