How to Apply

Complete and submit the Graduate School application for admission, along with the $50 nonrefundable application fee and your transcripts, to the Graduate School at least four weeks before the term in which you wish to begin. Learn more about applying to the Graduate School.

No action on admission will be taken until transcripts, application fee, and the completed admission form are on file with the Graduate School.

Transcripts
First time applicants to Ball State must request two official transcripts from the institution that granted their baccalaureate degree and each institution attended for undergraduate and graduate work. Send one copy of each transcript to the Graduate School and the other to Gary Crawley.

An official transcript is one that has been received directly from the issuing institution. It must bear the college seal, date, and an appropriate signature. Transcripts that do not meet these requirements will not be considered official. All transcripts become the property of Ball State University.

It is not necessary for Ball State undergraduates to request Ball State transcripts or transcripts of work completed before receiving an undergraduate degree from Ball State.

International Students
All international students must apply for graduate study through the Rinker Center for International Programs.
