Deadline: All application materials must be received on or before December 1.
Candidates interested in applying to the doctoral program in counseling psychology must apply to both the Graduate School and the Department of Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology and Counseling.
Detailed information on how to apply to the Graduate School is available on their Web site. You are encouraged to submit your application materials to the Graduate School several weeks before the December 1 deadline to allow time for processing of the application.
In addition to the online application you submit to the Graduate School, you must complete an application packet for the Department of Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology and Counseling. The packet should include the following. Applications without these documents will be considered incomplete:
- The departmental application
- brief autobiography
- matching interest form

- Initial Screening: Early December
- Notification of status: Late December
- Interviews: Late January
Candidates will begin the program in August; assistantships begin in August as well.
