The Ball State campus and Teachers College Building offer excellent instructional and research facilities. The facilities of the Department of Counseling Psychology and Guidance Services include 10 practicum rooms, an observation corridor, and two group observation rooms. All of these facilities are linked to a secure computer system that permits the digital recording of a counseling session. Counseling supervisors are also able to view live or previously conducted counseling sessions through this computer system.
In addition, the department operates a Counseling Practicum Clinic that serves about 600 clients a year from Muncie and the surrounding communities. The clinic provides practicum and internship experiences for our students who are supervised by faculty members. Some practica are also offered off campus at local schools, hospitals, and other institutions.
Technology at Ball State is on the cutting edge. The campus is 100 percent wireless, and the network speed and storage capacity are unmatched by most universities in the country. We also offer state-of-the-art computer labs and many other technological resources.
