The master of arts in mathematics education degree provides opportunities for elementary and middle school teachers (grades K-8) to examine various issues related to the teaching and learning of mathematics while continuing to develop their own mathematical content knowledge.
This degree can be completed in two to three years.
- Selected courses may be offered online.
- Summer classes will meet online, face-to-face in intensive formats, or as hybrid classes.
- Fall and spring semester classes will meet online, face-to-face one evening per week, or as hybrid classes.
- Acceptance into both the Graduate School and the Department of Mathematical Sciences M.A. in mathematics education program is required.
- Students may also pursue a Certificate in Elementary Mathematics Teacher Leadership.
- Enrollment is limited.
Mode of Delivery
This program is offered through a combination of online and face-to-face classes offered in the Greater Indianapolis area.
