Midwest Writers Workshop Scholarship in Creative Writing

The Midwest Writers Workshop Scholarship is awarded annually (when funding is available) to a Ball State University student who is pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in the English department. The scholarship will be awarded to the student with a dedicated interest in creative writing who best demonstrates in the application essay and writing sample that attending that summer’s Midwest Writers Workshop will benefit the applicant as a writer. The winner of this scholarship receives a tuition-paid registration to “Part II” of the MWW conference: a two-day event which includes 30+ concurrent panels on both the craft and business of writing, as well as agent pitch sessions, query critiques, readings, lunches, and a final awards banquet.

Application deadline: Early March, date will be specified as it nears (Sample of application).
