The English Department offers six different minors. The Creative Writing and Film and Screenwriting minors require 18 hours, while our
minors in Professional Writing and Emerging Media, Literature, Linguistics, and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) require 15. Any student in any program on campus can benefit from adding an English minor to their program of study. These minors allow students to develop the in-demand writing skills as well as the creative and analytical thinking skills that will enhance their resumes and their careers. Additionally, the Linguistics and TESOL minors provide an excellent background for students who want to apply to graduate school in Linguistics or TESOL programs.
