Benefits for RPM Students

All students in the RPM Program receive a variety of university and professional benefits as a result of our strong partnership with the property management and apartment industry. Benefits vary depending on the program in which the student is enrolled.

RPM Majors are eligible for these honors and activities:

  • Attend the RPM Advisory Board Networking Luncheon and Recognition Program held in Indianapolis each Fall semester.
  • Attend the RPM Advisory Board Networking Reception and Recognition Program held on campus each Spring semester.
  • Earn the National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) designation by successfully completing the assignments, quizzes, project, and final exam in FCPM 275 "Marketing & Leasing."
  • Participate in the RPM Advisory Board "Face-to-Face" event to interview with capital-level board members for RPM internships, part-time employment, and full-time careers.
  • Complete an RPM Internship for university credit.
  • Attend the educational sessions and trade show of the Indiana Apartment Association conference, after completing FCPM 235 "Intro to RPM."
  • Attend the Institute of Real Estate Management – Indianapolis Chapter 24 "Take the Future to Lunch" program as a student in FCPM 435 "RPM Trends and Issues."
  • Apply for consideration as a full conference participant at the Indiana Apartment Association conference (3 students) and the National Apartment Association conference (4 students).
  • Earn the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designation by successfully completing the undergraduate RPM curriculum (including RPM Internship and RPM Project) and passing the CAM designation exam.
  • Considered for the Outstanding RPM Student award.

RPM Minors are eligible for these honors and activities:

  • Attend the RPM Advisory Board Networking Luncheon and Recognition Program held in Indianapolis each Fall semester.
  • Attend the RPM Advisory Board Networking Reception and Recognition Program held on campus each Spring semester.

  • Apply for the RPM Graduate Student Scholarship
  • Earn the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designation by successfully completing the graduate RPM curriculum (including RPM Internship or other industry experience and RPM Project) and passing the CAM designation exam.
