Ball State University offers a full-time non-degree internship with a concentration in dietetic nutrition therapy. There are two dietetic internship classes each calendar year. Interns for the January class are selected in the Spring Computer Match. Interns for the May class are selected in the Fall Computer Match.
The Ball State University Dietetic Internship is a multi-site program with sites located throughout the state of Indiana. Applications must be willing to relocate to another Indiana community.
Interns are given the opportunity to provide the Site Selection Committee with input concerning site placement. The Site Selection Committee uses this information, along with past work experience and future career goals, to assign sites.
Interns are required to complete a minimum of 9 hours of graduate credit at Ball State University prior to the start of the internship, with 6 of the 9 hours completed in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. Interns must have a graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher to begin the internship. Interns earn 9 hours of graduate credit during the internship. Interns must earn a grade of B or higher in each of the three 3 – credit internship classes to receive a Verification Statement.
