Research Requirements (6 credits MA; 12 credits MS)

  • EDPS 641 or EDPS 642 Statistics or BIO 548 Biometry (3 credits)
  • FCS 697 - Research Methods (3 credits)

Nutrition Requirements (15 credits)

  • FCFN 642 - Nutrition Assessment (3 credits)
  • FCFN 647 - Carbohydrates, Proteins and Lipids (3 credits)
  • FCFN 648 - Vitamins and Minerals (3 credits)
  • Any two courses from the list below (6 credits)
    • FCFN 643 - Energy Balance, Obesity, and Weight Control (3 credits) 
    • FCFN 644 - Nutrition for Exercise and Sport (3 credits)
    • FCFN 650 - Maternal and Infant Nutrition (3 credits) 
    • FCFN 651 - Pediatric Nutrition (3 credits)
    • FCFN 652 - Geriatric Nutrition (3 credits) 
    • FCFN 660 - Advanced Food Service Management (3 credits)
    • FCFN 683 - Advanced Practice in Dietetics (3 credits)
    • FCFN 696 - Seminar;topics vary (3 credits)

Supervised Practice/Internship (9 credits)

  • FCFN 680 - Supervised Practice in Food Systems Management (3 credits)
  • FCFN 681 - Supervised Practice in Nutrition Therapy (3 credits)
  • FCFN 682 - Supervised Practice in Community/Business/Entrepreneur (3 credits)

Electives (6 credits; MA only)
