Forecasting Opportunities

If you are thinking about pursuing a career in broadcast meteorology, you will get real life experience through the Department of Telecommunications, also called TCOM. With all of TCOM's state-of-the-art facilities (including the 2007 David Letterman Communication and Media Building) and high-tech equipment, you will be able to practice on presenting yourself in front of the camera.

Our wonderful working relationship with TCOM, a department in the College of Communication, Information, and Media, has helped our students become great broadcasters.

You may also get an opportunity to be an anchor or create your own show on Cardinal-Vision 57, Ball State’s student-run television station, or appear on NewsLink Indiana, a immersive learning program that delivers news to residents of east central Indiana.
