GEOGRAPHERS WIN SCHOLARSHIPS:

Kacie Shourd and Aj Wardle, two of our undergraduates in Option 4 (Meteorology and Climatology, Professional Track) have been awarded prestigious Hollings Scholarships by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

Awardees of these scholarships receive academic assistance for two years, plus a paid ten week intership at a NOAA facility during the summer between their first and second years.

To have not one, but TWO of our students win these scholarships is a statement about the geography program in general, specifically the meteorology/climatology program.
