And you’ll have the flexibility to focus on the topics that interest you most, from paleontology to glacial geology. 

As a geologist in training, you'll study the earth with primary attention to its history, materials, and structure, and to the active processes that continue to change the landscape. Geologists are also concerned with investigating environmental problems such as geologic hazards involving flooding or earthquakes, evaluating groundwater resources, discovering new mineral and petroleum deposits, and studying the moon and planets.
