Faculty Research

Our faculty comes with a wealth of knowledge and many of them have amazing backgrounds in research!

We currently have eight faculty members. They have experience in the major subfields of geology including minerals, igneous and metamorphic rocks, sedimentary rocks, fossils, petroleum geology, environmental geology, earthquakes and volcanoes, landform geomorphology, river processes, groundwater hydrology, environmental site assessment, geophysics, geochemistry, water quality, and earth/space science teaching.

The faculty has experience in all areas of the continental United States, including detailed knowledge of Indiana and the Midwest, the Appalachian Mountains, the Rocky Mountains, and California along with international experience in Europe, including Great Britain, France and Germany as well as Peru, Brazil, New Zealand, China, Korea, Japan, and Antarctica.
