Academic Course Loads

You can register for up to 15 hours in one semester, six hours in a five-week summer term, and 12 hours in the combined summer term if you are not working as a graduate assistant. If you are working as a graduate or doctoral assistant you can register for up to 12 hours in one semester and three hours in a five-week summer term. Assistants must enroll in at least six hours during a semester and three hours in the summer term. Your status as a full-time or part-time student can affect your financial aid and veteran’s benefits.
