At Ball State, our university fellowships are similar to scholarships. If you are awarded a fellowship, you’ll receive a tuition waiver and stipend for the academic period (you’ll still be responsible for dedicated fees). You are not required to work for or repay these merit-based awards; you simply need to maintain good grades.
A November online and on-site information session is planned for individuals who want to learn about the $30,000 Woodrow Wilson Indiana Teaching Fellowship.
You also can explore other fellowships, including those offered by Educational Testing Service, for current doctoral students and postdoctoral students. Educational Testing Service offers the following fellowships: Harold Gulliksen Psychometric Research Fellowship If you have completed at least two years of full-time study toward your PhD, you can apply for a Harold Gulliksen Psychometric Research Fellowship through Educational Testing Service. During the year, you’ll study at Ball State and conduct research supervised by an academic mentor, and you’ll be able to consult with an ETS research scientist. During the summer, you’ll be able to participate in a special research program working directly with ETS researchers. Sylvia Taylor Johnson Minority Fellowship in Educational Measurement If you have received your PhD or EdD in the last 10 years, you could be eligible for a Sylvia Taylor Johnson Minority Fellowship in Educational Measurement. This fellowship can be renewed after the first year. Postdoctoral Fellowship If you already have a PhD or EdD, you could be eligible for one of three postdoctoral fellowships from Educational Testing Service. This fellowship can be renewed after the first year.
