WHAT HOUSING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE AT BALL STATE?

On campus, graduate students may live in Ball State University Apartments. The community features two complexes, Anthony and Scheidler, which house single students and students with families. University Apartments are connected to the university but offer independence, social programs, a family-like atmosphere, and a safe environment.

University Apartments provide a cost-efficient rental option. Rent includes electricity, heat, water, sewage, and trash removal. Free wireless Internet service, free cable TV, and other helpful amenities are included in the rental costs.

Leases are flexible. Instead of requiring a 12-month commitment, University Apartments offers leases for the academic year or by the semester.

If you decide to lease for a full year, you can store your belongings safely for the summer break. Summer storage is available in University Apartments. A storage fee of $25 per month will be posted to your bursar’s office account if you choose this option. The charge will be assessed for any partial or full month that property remains in your apartment. You must turn in your keys until you return for the semester.

Residence hall housing is available in Elliott and Shively Halls for students age 21 and older. For these halls, students should apply at the Office of Housing and Residence Life.
