Dr. T. M. Anderson Scholarship Program

The Honors College and the history department are pleased to announce the Dr. T. M. Anderson Scholarship. This award is given to a freshman honors student majoring in history, or a teaching major with a primary concentration in U.S. history. The award is in the amount of $2,400 per year for four years, or a total of $9,600, provided the student maintains a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.33, with a 3.5 in the history major.

The award is granted primarily on the basis of scholastic achievement. To qualify, the student must meet admission standards for the Honors College and submit a complete application with recommendation.

The scholarship honors Dr. T. M. Anderson (1902-1987) whose keen interest in the history of the American West enriched and encouraged both family and friends. The Anderson Scholarship Fund has been provided by the family of his son, Stefan S. Anderson, formally the Chairman and President of First Merchants Corporation of Muncie.
