Programs of Study

History is essential to both individuals and society. We recognize that history is an incredibly broad topic, which is why we’ve broken the major into four different options.

One of the options is for those wanting to enter graduate school, the other for students who wish to teach, and another designed for specific career paths. Our option one will give you a general overview of history.

We also offer a minor in history and one interdepartmental minor, Ancient studies. Each of our programs will get you where you want to go—whether that’s in the classroom, enrolled in grad school, or at a job.

If you have already earned your bachelor's degree, consider our master's degree program, which will give you a foundation for doctoral studies or help advance your career.
