Social Studies Teaching

Teaching can be one of the most rewarding careers—especially teaching social studies. You will get to bring history to life in a creative way in your own classroom.

This program combines courses in history, other social fields, and pedagogy, as well as the experience of student teaching to prepare you to equip students who will become future leaders and national and global citizens.

As a teaching major, you will work closely with our department and faculty in the Teachers College to make sure you are prepared for licensure in social studies.
