Dr. T. M. Anderson Scholarship

This award is given to a freshman honors student majoring in history or in a teaching major with a primary concentration in U.S. history. The scholarship supplements the Presidential Scholarship up to the value of full Indiana tuition for four years, provided the recipient maintains a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.33 (on a 4.0 scale), with a 3.5 GPA in the history major. The recipient need not be a resident of Indiana. This scholarship is awarded in addition to the Presidential Scholarship.

The scholarship honors Dr. T. M. Anderson (1902-1987), whose keen interest in the history of the American West enriched and encouraged both family and friends. The fund has been provided by the family of his son, Stefan S. Anderson, former chairman and president of First Merchants Corporation of Muncie.
