When to Begin the Application Process

Some major national scholarships require the endorsement of a Ball State committee (these have on-campus deadlines). Other programs allow students to apply on their own, but we recommend assistance. Either way, our staff can help the process go smoothly if you get started early.

If you want to compete for a scholarship, you must contact Barb Stedman, director of national and international scholarships, in the Honors College (765-285-5086), at least six weeks before the national deadline or campus deadline, if applicable. Some scholarships require up to three months’ preparation.

Based on the deadlines and requirements of each major scholarship program, we encourage you to start working on your applications by the dates below.
