Admission Requirements and How to Apply

1. Begin by applying and meeting the admission requirements of the Ball State Graduate School.

2. Apply and meet the admission requirements of the Department of Journalism:

  • Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores
  • Three recommendations using the department form
  • A current résumé or curriculum vitae
  • A 500- to 1,000-word narrative detailing relevant background, reasons for undertaking graduate study in this department, and the relationship of such study to long-term goals and interests in journalism or public relations.
