Our program awards deserving students with the following scholarships, but we also encourage you to explore university-wide financial aid options. Campus employment is also a great way to finance your education through meaningful, career-focused work.

College-wide Scholarships

This award is available to incoming freshmen or transfer students pursuing a major within the College of Architecture and Planning. Recipients should have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale and a minimum SAT score of 1090 on a scale of 1600 or the equivalent on a similar exam, such as the ACT. Students are eligible for the renewable scholarship for all four years if the student continues to meet the stated criteria. Learn more.

Students entering their first year of the undergraduate architecture program are eligible for this award. Faculty nominate students.
The Schmidt Associates Scholarship is awarded to juniors majoring in landscape architecture, urban planning, or architecture with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. You must demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development through leadership and participation in student and/or professional organizations and activities, as well as provide evidence of community involvement and service. Be on the lookout for an application form sent via email in March.
The LicketySplit Scholarship is awarded to a CAP student who has consistently displayed concern for fellow students and the community, a strong work ethic, and a personal philosophy of striving for excellence. We give preference to students with financial need. No application required. Faculty nominate students.

Departmental Scholarships

This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in landscape architecture. You must currently be enrolled as either a:

  • second-, third-, or fourth-year undergraduate
  • a second-year graduate student

You need a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. You will be selected for the scholarship award based on your demonstrated excellence in academics and potential to become a leader in the field of landscape architecture.

Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated financial need by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

This scholarship is awarded to a landscape architecture student at the discretion of the chair of the Department of Landscape Architecture.

This scholarship is awarded to a full-time, second-year undergraduate student in the Department of Landscape Architecture.

The student must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.

Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need by filing the  Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
