The Master of Arts degree in Mathematics provides student with a broad graduate-level mathematical background suitable for community college teaching, for pursuing a PhD degree in the Mathematical Sciences, or for seeking employment in business, industry, or government.  The Master of Science degree will require the student to write a 6-hour thesis.

Admission Requirements:  Applicants must meet the regular admission requirements of the Graduate School and have an undergraduate major in mathematics or an equivalent background as determined by the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
