The main thing to know about earning a Ball State MBA online is that with only a handful of exceptions, you have the same choice courses as MBA students studying on our main campus. Plus, these 50+ courses are taught by the same faculty members as our on-campus classes.

In fact, in 2013 U.S. News & World Report ranked the Ball State MBA faculty first in Indiana for faculty credentials and student services among online graduate programs in business.

Online study offers you tremendous flexibility to complete your MBA while holding a full-time job—which means you can be gaining valuable work experience while at the same time advancing your education. All the Ball State MBA courses are offered online.

Some courses are offered in an asynchronous format, meaning there is no specific sign-on time each week. Rather, you have weekly assignments and deadlines that you complete at times and places most convenient to you.

Other online MBA courses are webcast and synchronous. You sign on at a specific time to watch and participate in a live webcast lecture and discussion. However, your weekly assignments can be completed at times that work best for you. And, lectures are also available for you to watch after the original webcast date.

In all of our online courses, you’ll keep in contact with instructors and classmates using e-mail, discussion boards, file sharing, chats, web page posting, and possibly over the telephone. And, if some of those words sound unfamiliar right now, don't worry. We offer technical assistance to you all along the way.

Most of our online students are working professionals who enroll in an average of two courses each semester and finish in five to six semesters.

As an online student, you have access to a whole host of student services also available to our main-campus students, and we start you out with an orientation for online students to help you become familiar with the resources available to you.
