Business Essentials Certificate
Have an undergraduate degree and a professional career in nursing, engineering, journalism, education, or perhaps architecture? Those are all exciting pursuits, and they don’t really seem to have a lot to do with business. However, a solid understanding of business may be what you need to advance in these and other fields.
That’s what the graduate certificate in business is all about. Ball State was one of the first Indiana schools to offer this kind of program. It provides you with practical, rigorous, and academic foundations in business, covering such areas as accounting, economics, finance, marketing, managing organizational behavior, and operations management.
Don’t worry if you don’t have any academic business background because you’re just the kind of person this program was created for. And when you’re done, you’ll have under your belt at least four of the six prerequisite courses you would need to complete a Ball State master of business adminstration (MBA).
Of course, you’re busy with your career already—how could you possibly fit in graduate studies? Don’t worry. Our program is designed to fit your schedule and your needs, and you can finish it up in just two or three semesters. Foundation/certificate courses are available face-to-face, on campus, and via Web conferencing.
It’s also simple to apply.
