Richard Culp earned his bachelor's degree in accounting and history from Fairmont State College in West Virginia. Culp served in the United States Army Finance Corps from 1966 to 1969. For the next 34 years, he worked at Arthur Anderson in Indianapolis, Indiana. He began there as an auditor, but spent the bulk of his career in management as Director of Human Resources, Director of Recruiting, and Director of Finance and Administration.
