Assistant Professor of Accounting
Renee Flasher, assistant professor of accounting, received her PhD in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from the Pennsylvania State University in 2013. She received a Masters degree in accounting from Case Western Reserve University in 1997. Prior to obtaining her doctorate, she worked in public accounting (Deloitte) and internal audit (Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Jackson). Her research interests include auditor oversight, internal controls, and corporate governance for public, private and not for profit entities. She has presented at national conferences and attended section meetings of the American Accounting Association. She is a certified public accountant, certified fraud examiner, and certified internal auditor.
