Contract Faculty Pay
Qualifications
Contract faculty, both full- and part-time, should be academically or professionally qualified to meet AACSB accreditation standards.
Full-Time Contract
The nine-month pay for a full-time contract position will be negotiated by the department chair and the faculty member and approved by the dean of the college. It will be based upon market factors and the qualifications of the faculty member.
Part-Time Contract
The compensation for part-time contracts is based upon a payment per class. For a professionally qualified person, typically with a Master's Degree, the payment is $2,000 per class. For an individual with a doctoral degree, the payment is $2,400 per class. Deviation of this policy must be approved by the Miller College Dean in conjunction with the Provost.
