Guidelines for Proposals

  • Applicants must be a tenured or tenure-line faculty member.
  • Applicant must have an advanced stage research project. (The Fisher Fellowship is intended to bring a research project to completion.)
  • Applicant must complete an application form and electronically submit to Department Chairperson along with vita and proposal.
  • The proposal must be two to three pages and contain the following:
  • The nature of your proposed research.
  • The extent to which your project is in an advanced stage and prospects for completion.
  • The uses to which you will place the funds from the fellowship.

The proposal should be clearly written to allow academics from disciplines other than the applicant’s to understand the nature of the work.

If the faculty member has been a previous Fisher Fellow, he or she must wait two academic years to submit another proposal

Faculty in the Miller College of Business who are receiving New Faculty Summer Stipends are ineligible to apply.

Reciept of approved proposal and application materials from chairs must be received by Friday, February 26, 2010 at 5:00pm.
