Just over 400 business schools worldwide have achieved certification from AACSB International, and the Miller College of Business at Ball State is one of them.

AACSB, which stands for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, has been evaluating business schools since 1916, and is recognized as the premier accrediting agency for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs in business administration and accounting. AACSB strives to ensure that programs are excellent now and that they have mechanisms in place to achieve continuous improvement.

The review process takes into account each school’s stated mission and objectives, then through self-evaluation and peer review gauges how well the school lives up to the mission and objectives. It also evaluates the program against AACSB’s accreditation standards, and the end result recognizes the diverse paths that are available for achieving high-quality education and ongoing improvement.
