The American Marketing Association gives students an opportunity to increase their professionalism and awareness of the marketing process. The association is the largest professional organization serving the needs and interests of marketing practitioners, students, and faculty. In addition to maintaining collegiate chapters at most major universities, the organization has professional chapters in major cities throughout the world, including one in Indianapolis. 

The group hosts lectures, research projects, professional meetings, fundraising activities, and assorted committees.


Students in any major can join the American Marketing Association. Membership includes students, faculty, and staff.


The American Marketing Association was established in 1937 to develop standards and objectives to strengthen the marketing profession and to promote professional improvement.
