As senior vice president of advertising for the Chicago Tribune, Kenneth DePaola Jr. is responsible for overall advertiser sales and marketing. Ken also serves as president of Tribune Media Net, where he oversees national advertising for the Tribune's 11 newspapers and niche publications and leads cross-media sales efforts.
DePaola has served in a variety of newspaper sales, marketing, and executive management positions in his 26 year newspaper career. Before joining the Tribune in 1999, he held a variety of sales and management positions including associate publisher of the Chicago Sun-Times and president and publisher of Midwest Suburban Publishing.
A recipient of the Tribune Leadership Award, DePaola led the Tribune sales organization to the best results in the nation for four consecutive years. His professional affiliations include membership on the Newspaper Association of America Display Board and the Better Business Bureau. He volunteers his time as a member of the board of the Greater Chicagoland Food Depository.
