Nicolas Poppe (Ph.D. University of Texas at Austin) is an Assistant Professor of Spanish at Ball State University. His areas of research are Latin American cultural, film and literary studies; space and place in cultural production; cinematic geography; Latin American cultural production of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, particularly that of Argentina; and early Hispanic sound film.
