I Have Earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music

Applicants who have earned a Bachelors Degree in Music from an accredited institution are eligible for our Intensive Summer Workshops Option. While individual circumstances vary, it is possible to complete the Pre-Field Experience components of this curriculum in a 14-month period (encompassing two summer sessions).

Admission to this program begins by submitting required materials to the Ball State Educational Licensing Office. Applications for music licensing will be forwarded to the Coordinator of Music Education. Admission to Graduate Study in Music at Ball State University is eventually required. Applicants must have earned Indiana passing scores on all sections of the Praxis 1: PPST before registering for classes.

Candidates qualified for this option may wish to consider the Masters Degree Plus License Option.
