Minor in Symphonic Instruments or Guitar

The minor in Music: Symphonic Instruments or Guitar requires 24 credits in applied lessons (private study), music theory, music history, piano, and ensembles.

  • MUHI 200, Music Literature (2) 
  • MUSP 325/326, Secondary or Group Piano (2 credits total; 1 credit per semester)
  • MUSP 43x, Small Ensembles (1)
  • MUSP 340/341, Large Ensembles (2 credits total; generally 0.5 or 1 credit per semester)*
  • Electives in Music (2)

    Guitar minors may satisfy the ensemble requirements by taking 3 credits of small ensemble (strings/guitar).
