Minor in Emergency Management and Homeland Security, 24 hours.
This departmental minor provides skills development for students wanting to pursue careers in which they respond to threats to public health and safety from terrorism, technological disasters, or natural hazards. Courses include a common background in the science and policy involved in these areas, plus computer science and cybersecurity, as well as electives that focus more narrowly on: management, planning and policy; special topics involving emergency management or homeland security; and applied emergency-related courses. An internship is strongly encouraged.
