Scholarships for NREM Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Clyde W. Hibbs Memorial Scholarship #1

This scholarship is for an incoming Freshman starting in Fall of 2014. The Clyde W. Hibbs Memorial Scholarship is a legacy to the department's founder, Clyde W. Hibbs.

Amount: $1,000.00

Eligibility Criteria:
• Candidates must be an incoming Freshman and have at least a High School 3.2 GPA
• Submit a 700 word essay describing your academic and career goals and why you plan to be an NREM Major

Clyde W. Hibbs Memorial Scholarship #2 for Current Undergraduates

For students majoring in Natural Resources and Environmental Management. The Clyde W. Hibbs Memorial Scholarship is a legacy to the department's founder, Clyde W. Hibbs.

Amount: $1,000.00.

Eligibility Criteria:
• Candidates must be current NREM majors and have at least a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.2 GPA in NREM classes
• Candidates must have earned fewer than 60 credit hours by the end of the current spring semester.

Alex and Anna I. Nicoloff Scholarship for Environment Studies

The Alex and Anna I. Nicoloff Scholarship for Environmental Studies is awarded in memory of the parents of Dorothy Nicoloff who endowed the fund to support the scholarships.

Amount: $1,000.00 - $2,000.00.

Eligibility Criteria:
• Candidates must be current NREM majors and have at least a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.2 GPA in NREM classes.
• Candidates must have earned a minimum of 60 credit hours by the end of the current spring semester.

Charles O. Mortensen Fellowship

This funding option provides support for scholarships awarded to students within the Natural Resources and Environmental Management department.

Amount: $1,000.00

Eligibility Criteria:
• The Charles O. Mortensen Fellowship offers a $1,000 tuition fellowship for the academic year to a junior, senior, or graduate student within the NREM department.
• There is no GPA requirement, however students must propose a service project signed by an advisor.

The Farmland Conservation Club Scholarship

The Farmland Conservation Scholarship is provided by the Farmland Conservation Club in Indiana to students in NREM. Students should be interested in conservation issues.

Amount: $1,000.00.

Eligibility Criteria:
• The Farmland Conservation Club requires applicants to submit an essay about conservation issues.

The Air and Waste Management Association Scholarship


The Air and Waste Management Association Scholarship is provided to NREM majors or minors.



Amount: $1,000.00



Eligibility Criteria:


• NREM major or minor in Environmental Management


• 3.0 GPA Overall and in NREM
