We accept applications to the School of Nursing twice yearly: the first 10 days of the fall semester for spring admission and the first 10 days of the spring semester for summer and fall admission. The application link will not appear until the first day of the fall or spring semester. Click on the Nursing Applicant Checklist in order to know what materials you will need for the application process. You may access this at any time in order for you to be prepared for the application process. Deadlines are firm, and students are expected to have all materials submitted by the application deadline. Also, students with current or pending criminal charges, or who are completing a diversion program, are not eligible for admission to the School of Nursing.

Lasting Bonds

We encourage you to deepen your educational experience through the Nursing Living-Learning Community, which matches you with fellow nursing students in select classes as well as in the residence hall. Living and working alongside your peers will help you form lasting professional partnerships, academic support, and a circle of friends. The community offers in-hall advising sessions, hosts speakers and panels, facilitates trips to hospitals and clinics, and connects you with the Ball State Student Nurses Association.

Although our research interests vary, we are a strong community of faculty, students, alumni, and friends who support each other in the classroom and in life after Ball State. Our active Facebook page connects prospective and current students as well as graduates. The Ball State Student Nurses Association Facebook page is another avenue for students to offer academic assistance and socialize.

The Beta Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing is another way to socialize and work with other nurses to enhance the profession.
