Rebecca Henry (BS ’69), a retired Chief Nursing Officers, is active in Sigma Theta Tau, Women’s Journey – Holy Cross Lutheran Church, and is a volunteer reader at St. Michael’s School. She raises alpacas on her farm in southeast Allen County, IN.
Professor Janice A. (Fisher) Maville (BSN ’69) recently published the 3rd edition of her “Health Promotion in Nursing” textbook (Delmar/Cengage Learning Publishers).
Jan Yeley Tinsley (BS ’63), currently manages a food pantry, assists at Senior Life Network, and is active in Oklahoma Home and Community Education. She enjoys working in her garden and learning about sustainable agriculture.
Phyllis Payne Culp (’66) is an Internal Policy Analyst with the Department for Aging and Independent Living, Commonwealth of Kentucky. After retiring as Division Director of State Guardianship, she returned to the Department for Aging and Independent Living to assist with implementation of projects related to re-balancing long term care from facility care to home care. Kentucky has been very successful in developing both state and federal programs to enhance the services available to elders in their homes as they age. Phyllis credits her nursing education for her success in working with elders.
Christine Bollier (BS ’74) graduated in 2010 from Loyola University with an MSN and was certified as an NP in June 2010.
Robbin Chapman (BS ’81) received her Master of Science degree in 2007 in Nursing Education from Florida Southern College where she was one of the founders of Sigma Theta Tau, Epsilon Omega chapter, and its first president. She attended the 40th and 41st Biannual Convention of Sigma Theta Tau and is the 2012-2013 President-Elect of the Florida School Health Association.
Barbara Ann (Smith) Borkowski (BS ’81) has completed her MSN degree and is currently a program chair in a practical nurse program. She is also developing curriculum for an RN program and a BSN program for rural students.
Barbara J. Wetzler (BS ’80) celebrates 11 years with Anthem Care Management (formerly WellPoint Health Networks) in Atlanta, GA. For the past 7 years, Barbara has worked as a Manager II in the Nurse Information Line Department. This experience has given her opportunity to develop an expertise of delivering care and managing staff in a virtual environment while utilizing the latest technology to support telephonic health.
Shelley Horstman (BS ’89), has been a Legal Nurse Consultant with Cline Farrell Christie & Lee, PC for 7 years. She is the current President of The Greater Indianapolis Chapter of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.
Wendy Buck (BS ’98) leads Children’s Dance Worship and teaches Zumba at The Bridge Community Church in Anderson, IN where she lives with her two daughters (ages 2 and 9), step daughter (age 8), step son (age 13), and husband of five years. She is an EMT and is active at Shenandoah Elementary as a school volunteer and school nurse substitute.
Jennifer Ewing (MS ’09), a Nurse Practitioner at Michiana Hematology-Oncology, was recently appointed Associate Editor of the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing, an international publication of the Oncology Nursing Society.
Staci L. James (MSN ‘11) is an ANCC Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and recently took a position as Certified Nurse Practitioner for the Pediatric Medicine Department of University Medical Associates in Athens, Ohio.
Katherine Timm (BSN ’10) is a Clinical Research Coordinator working in Hepatology Research, curing Hepatitis C quickly and with few side effects. She is a Parish Nurse at Grace Lutheran Church of Culver City.
