Renee Twibell is an associate professor in the School of Nursing at Ball State University in Muncie, IN, where she teaches research and theory courses in the masters and doctoral programs. She serves as the Nurse Researcher at Indiana University (IU) Health Ball Memorial Hospital, where she leads the integration of research evidence into nursing practice and consults on evidence-based practice issues. She was President of the White River Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and serves on state and national committees for critical care nursing and nursing research. She publishes and presents research on quality and safety issues She was selected as a Mentor in the inaugural Advanced Practice Institute sponsored by IU Health and the Geriatric Nursing Leadership Academy, sponsored by the John A. Hartford Foundation and Sigma Theta Tau, International. She is frequent presenter at community, regional, national, and international conferences.
