2. You must be accepted into the nutrition and dietetics program.

Apply to Nutrition and Dietetics

To apply, you must provide an original, signed Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) Verification of Completion Statement from the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) director.  You must also have a 3.0 GPA, 3.0 DPD GPA, or a 3.25 GPA in the second half of your baccalaureate program.

Unless you are already a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), you will need to use the Dietetic Internship Centralized Application Services (DICAS) computer matching system for the application process. Applications and letters of reference must be submitted through DICAS. As part of the application, official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended should be sent to the following address:

You will also need to fill out the Supplemental Supervised Practice Selection Form (PDF) and submit it via DICAS. Please contact DICAS at dicasinfo@dicas.org or 617-612-2855 with questions about the application process or fees.

Applicants must also register online with D&D Digital to participate in the matching process. A list of selected programs must be submitted by the deadline.

Applicants may be interviewed by the Dietetic Internship Director on campus or via video conference.

How to Apply: Practicing Dietitians

If you are a RD/RDN who is seeking a master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, send a letter of intent, two letters of reference, and a resume to Graduate Program Director Carol Friesen.

Application Deadlines

There are two match deadlines each year. Approximate deadlines are:

  • The second week of February
  • The fourth week of September

Check with your DPD program director, Academy Accreditation staff, or D&D Digital Systems for the exact deadline date.
