"As a communicator, being a registered dietitian nutritionist gives me credibility when speaking with the public."
Jenni believes that obtaining her master’s in nutrition and dietetics played a significant role in her success. "As a communicator, being a registered dietitian nutritionist gives me credibility when speaking with the public."
Through her work with professor Carol Friesen, she learned a great deal about community nutrition and public health, which has helped her at the Dairy and Nutrition Council. It also supplied the knowledge to be able to answer questions the public, media, or others may have about dairy and other nutrition related topics.
"The professors were great and provided one-on-one attention that you don't find at many universities," Jenni says. "I still keep in contact with a majority of my professors from Ball State."
