Emeritus Professor in Exercise Science
Bruce Craig's areas of research include glucose transport mechanisms, growth hormones, and resistance training. He has a long-lasting connection with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and continues to publish and review for the organization.
Craig joined the Ball State faculty in 1981 as part of the world-class Human Performance Laboratory, which, according to the Running Times, has graduated a "virtual who's who of prominent exercise physiologists in the U.S." During his time at Ball State, Craig served as graduate coordinator and served as a mentor to many students before retiring.
He returned to Ball State to teach online courses in research methods, one of Craig's areas of expertise. Over the span of his career, Craig conducted research in both Sweden and England, gave more than 100 research presentations, and published seventy-three papers.
