David Pearson’s areas of research and expertise include rehabilitation of postsurgical athletes, optimal conditioning and athletic performance, enhancing performance through nutritional supplementation, and carbohydrate and protein feedings for performance.
Pearson served as the university’s first strength and conditioning coach for intercollegiate athletics and is former director of the university’s strength research laboratory. He is a fellow with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NCSA) and was named the organization’s national educator of the year in 2005.
He has also served on the medical advisory board for Men’s Health magazine and the advisory board of Cuts for Men, a national men’s fitness company. He received his doctorate in human bioenergetics from Ball State.
