In 2013, U.S. News awarded four national rankings to Ball State for its online degree programs and service to military students.

So what were the distinctions and services that helped put us on the GI Jobs honor roll for the last four years?

  • More than 60 online undergraduate and graduate programs from which to choose
  • One-on-one academic advising and support for active military, veterans, spouses, and families
  • Competitive tuition and financial aid assistance from the GI Bill, Yellow Ribbon Program, and other programs
  • Professional and faculty mentor-partners from eight key university offices have committed to work individually with veterans and their dependents to help them achieve their goals
  • Was recipient of a Military Family Research Institute Grant in 2011 to fund enhanced services for military personnel and veterans
  • Employs full-time, veterans benefits certifying official in its office of veteran affairs
  • An active Student Veteran Organization, which meets regularly to build camaraderie

In addition to the university-wide selection of Ball State as a Military Friendly School, our main campus and our Master of Business Administration (MBA) program carry their own Military Friendly designations.
